Politics
a poem by Rönnog Seaberg

 

Prohibition, Pearl Harbor and penis envy

three P's that bow in the wind.

Pills, potency and potty training,

pistols, poetry all politics

for potentates and the piss poor.

P for people

P for proletariat

P for puberty and pubic hair

Piss on the president

priests and public relations,

pomp and pretentions,

pledges, poetry, and despair.

Parts of us are poor

prudish peasants.

Politics aren't pleasant.
