Abstract
Mr.
Wolfe is a professional documentary photographer. His award-winning
black-and-white photography has been published in a variety of formats and
featured in galleries and shows throughout the Southeast United States.
From 1997-2002 he perrformed large-format black-and-white photography
for historic recordation projects in the eastern and southern United States. Since
the fall of 2002 Mr. Wolfe has performed documentary disaster photography
predominately in the southeastern U.S. He has worked on several projects
including tornadoes, floods and many major hurricanes.

Photography
Mr. Wolfe’s black-and-white documentary photography has been exhibited
and published over the past five years, as summarized below.His most recent
effort involves a ongoing project documenting the Historic Mechanicsville
Community in Atlanta, GA. He also has completed projects in Havana,
Cuba, Kingston, Jamaica and an African-American community in south Georgia.

Instruction
Since fall 1995, Mr. Wolfe has been instructor of photography for Georgia
Institute of Technology’s Options program, teaching quarterly classes
in beginning, intermediate, and advanced techniques.
Photographic
Recordation
Mr.
Wolfe has produced several comprehensive photographic recordations, involving
large-format black-and-white negatives and contact prints. For each
effort, he has assembled a report based on HABS/HAER standards, including
a log describing the photographs and roofline views illustrating photograph
locations and angles. Each of the recordations has been submitted
to the corresponding State Historic Preservation Office.
